RyannSuite

Open to graduate software engineering roles

Small, thoughtful apps for everyday life.

I'm Bernard Ryan Sim, a software engineer. I design, build and ship every app in RyannSuite end to end — 3 of them are live today.

The Suite

A suite of small, well-made tools

Each app does one everyday job and tries to do it nicely. All three are live — try them.

01 · Group travel

RyannPlan

Plan, budget and settle group trips in one place.

RyannPlan is a group travel planner. Everyone in the trip shares one workspace for the itinerary, the budget and every expense, then settles up with clear balances and payment proof — with AI suggestions that respect the budget.

How I build

Four rules every app has to follow

  1. 01

    Useful before you sign up

Open the app and get value in seconds. Accounts add sync — they're never the price of entry.

RyannPace and RyannReceipt work instantly with no account.

  2. 02

    Private by default

Keep people's data on their own device unless they choose otherwise.

RyannPace reads activity files on-device; RyannReceipt keeps receipts in your browser until you back up.

  3. 03

    Local details done right

Small things that make an app feel made for you, not translated for you.

SST, service charge and 5-sen rounding in RyannReceipt, RM budgets in RyannPlan, English and 中文 in RyannPace.

  4. 04

    Shipped, not just built

Every app is designed, built, deployed and maintained by me, from database to UI.

Three apps live on Cloudflare, two of them installable as PWAs.

About me

Hi, I'm Bernard Ryan Sim.

I'm a Software Engineering student at Multimedia University, finishing my Bachelor of Computer Science in November 2026. I recently completed an industrial traineeship with the development team at 7-Eleven Malaysia, where I built an internal e-sourcing platform from scratch, worked on the customer app UI revamp for the printing service, and contributed to the Digital Sales Integration Platform.

Outside of that I build RyannSuite: small apps for things I actually do, like planning trips, sharing a run and keeping track of spending. Building each one end to end, from database to UI to deployment, is how I keep learning.
